A Very Special Birthday Party

Corey has been to quite a few birthday parties this but there are very few that are really memorable.  In fact, there are only two.  The first one is Pump it Up! and I can pretty much guarantee that he does not remember who had their birthday there (Monet) only that he wants to have his there.  The second one is London's birthday party.

London is his little girlfriend from gymnastics class who he occasionally crushes on (when he remembers).  At the class' Halloween party, London informed him that he could now marry her since she got a spider ring in her goody bag and another time he tried to walk her to the car while asking her to have a smoothie with him.  For awhile, the only way to get him to go to class was to remind him that she will be there.  That is until he developed a crush on his teacher, Miss Lisa... that is for another day.

And then he was invited to her birthday party!

I have to first say that Corey has a minor obsession with princesses and Cinderella is by far his favorite.  Little did he know that he was going to meet her at London's birthday party.

When we arrived he got to dress up like a pirate (the girls as princesses) and was escorted to the backyard to play and get ready for the big surprise!  The kids got to make crafts and get their faces painted... all leading up to the arrival of Cinderella.

I wish I had a picture of Corey's face when she arrived!  I did hear him shout out her name though and he could barely sit in his chair waiting for her to acknowledge him.  When she did make her way to see him, he promptly told her our address and told her that she could come over.  He also asked her (repeatedly) to come over to his house for a dinner party.  He was just a "little" smitten.
The flag that he is holding has a picture of a princess on it which he said was me until Cinderella showed up.  The ironic thing is he has meet Cinderella many times before but does not recognize her as one of the girls from my work who (along with another co-worker) started Confetti Bop, a party planning company specializing in children's birthday parties.

The day was a lot of fun and even Rowan got her picture taken with Cinderella.
But what really took me by surprise was how much Corey really looks like my dad.
Which I never noticed until someone painted a mustache on him. :)
